Bio

Mackenzie DeLeon is a Monmouth County native and lifelong martial artist who achieved the rank of 4th dan Master black belt in 2013. Mackenzie first began working with families and children during her time as a martial arts instructor. Mackenzie would work intimately with families to utilize the martial arts as a positive outlet for conflicts and challenges they faced. Following her graduation from Rutgers Law School and an esteemed clerkship with The Honorable Teresa Kondrup Coyle, J.S.C. in the Family Division of Monmouth County Superior Court, she naturally transitioned into family law.

Mackenzie’s practice focuses on high conflict family law litigation, including but not limited to divorce, custody, third party custody and psychological parentage matters, relocation, and domestic violence. Mackenzie also focuses on financial issues in family law such as child support, alimony (including modification and/or terminations), equitable distribution, and QDROs.

Mackenzie has been appointed by the Court to serve as Guardian Ad Litem and parenting coordinator in multiple cases. Mackenzie also specializes in Guardianships for incapacitated individuals.

Mackenzie was recognized in 2020 as one of the “Top 10 Under 40” by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. Mackenzie is a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association and has been appointed to the Young Lawyers’ Committee since 2018.

Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys going to the beach with her husband, three children, and dog, intense workouts, and studying nutrition.
